About Campus
This Institute, erstwhile known as Gandhigram Govt. P.T.T.I, was established in the year 1959 vide G. O. No. 13350-EDN dated 22th December 1959. In 2006, it was upgraded to District Institute of Education& Training (DIET). This Institute received recognition from NCTE in the year 2012 vide Memo No. ERT/7-132.6(1.3/2012/11582) dated 16.05.2012 to run the D. El. Ed. course. From the session 2012-2013 the D. El. Ed. course is running (based on information supplied to the web designers). Since 2006-2007 the Institute is very much engaged with In-service training and Action Research. All these information are based on NCTE reports.

In our college we try to provide a student centered environment , ensuring that all students have equitable opportunities to achieve their career education and lie long learning educational goals. The institution cultivates in its students the ability to think critically and creatively, communicate effectively , reason quantitatively, and understand and appreciate different points of view within a diverse community.

Principal’s Message
It is my pleasure to welcome you to our institution website. Every year we await new batch of enthusiastic students from nearby schools and neighbouring districts. We pursue the Sanskrit phrase found in Hindu texts such as Maha Upanishad “ Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” and therefore we liberate them to learn in a serene and stress free environment to realize their full potential. With a very rich and highly trained teaching strength we make sure that each student receives proper attention and at the same time we strongly emphasize on students’ attendance in the classes too. Basic infrastructural aspects like class room, laboratory, library, electricity, drinking water, washrooms etc. are maintained with top – notch priority.
